September was a busy month at Synergic. From hosting large, multi-day events to chapter meetings, Synergic continues to provide a space where education, collaboration, and innovation intersect.
The Synergic Center was pleased to host the Clear Water Alabama Seminar, a two-day event that brought together nearly 150 professionals from across the state to discuss innovative practices around erosion and sediment control. Participants included planners, designers, inspectors, contractors and other industry professionals.
The first day consisted of speakers including academic professionals, engineers, and industry consultants. Nearly 20 vendors were showcasing and demoing products onsite. The second day provided an opportunity for participants to be in the field where they visited the USGS Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility on the University of Alabama Campus, as well as visited sites to review erosion and sediment control.
Clear Water Purpose: Provide relevant training to MS4 personnel, erosion and sediment control professionals and others involved in planning, designing, installing, and inspecting erosion control, sediment control and stormwater management systems.
In addition to Clearwater, Synergic hosted the Daughters of the American Revolution 9/11 memorial event, honoring 25 years since September 11, 2001. Other events included the Department of Revenue and tax class, Tuscaloosa County Natural Resources Planning Committee, and more. The events continue next month as Synergic is set to host the first annual Fall Expo on Oct 8th highlighting outdoor recreation and natural resources. To learn more and register, click here.
